TIE A KNOT

TIE A KNOT X MAYA WONG
Dropping this August.

Not from here. Not for everyone.
TIE A KNOT’s sharp design meets MAYA WONG’s strange beauty.
A collaboration born from the unexpected.
Drawn from the beautiful and the bizarre.
The Sphynx cat. The Flying Fox. The Goblin Shark.
Born strange. Built to stand out.
This is a tribute to the ones who never fit.
Odd. Elegant. Perfectly off.
Don’t blink.

Purpose

Some brands sell clothes.
Some tell stories.

MAYA WONG asks questions.

Why follow rules that no longer make sense?
Why fear difference when it is what makes us human?

Founded in Bangkok in 2016, MAYA WONG creates fashion for those who choose their own path.
Genderless.
Independent.
Unapologetically individual.

We believe in a future where freedom matters more than conformity.
Where identity is not assigned, but discovered.
Where people are valued not despite their differences, but because of them.

It is a reminder that the world changes when people have the courage to be themselves.

MAYA WONG

The Art of Standing Out.

SS25

MAYA WONG SS25 marks a return to designing a full collection after a break. This time, the focus is on reflecting what truly defines MAYA WONG. Bringing back the brand’s signature attitude—unapologetic, genderless, and provocative. This collection strips away the unnecessary and focuses on sharp, modern designs with a rebellious edge. Black dominates the lineup, setting the tone for power, mystery, and defiance.

The show opened with an oversized reflective shirt that catches the light with every flash, symbolizing this comeback—“flash a light at me, I’m back.” The next look featured a sexy sheer top with a padded red logo patch, creating a 3D effect, paired with shorts and gloves. Another standout look included an oversized long-sleeve shirt with straight-leg pants made from signature nylon fabric. From a distance, the fabric looks completely black, but up close, a subtle rose pattern is revealed—a hidden detail meant for those who look closely.

Unisex and genderless design remains at the core of the collection. Every piece has the same button placement for both men and women, ensuring that anyone can wear them without thinking about gender. At MAYA WONG, there are no boundaries—just personal expression.

One of the boldest pieces in the collection is a statement t-shirt with the word “ORGY” printed across the front and gay roles listed on the back. It highlights the idea that even within the LGBTQ+ community, there are roles, but in the end, everyone coexists—just like in group sex, where diversity is key. Another look featured a black oversized blazer, worn by a famous transgender influencer, sending a message that trans people don’t need to conform to traditional body expectations. Fashion should challenge norms, not reinforce them.

Other highlights include a tank top with twisted shoulder detail, inspired by a design first created in university, paired with relaxed straight-leg slacks. A short-sleeve oversized shirt and shorts were crafted from crinkled polyester fabric, usually found in sportswear but reimagined into something unexpected. A draped sci-fi-inspired dress added a touch of sensuality, while another look played with faux leather, giving a nod to BDSM aesthetics but in a more wearable way.

The twisted shoulder detail returned in a futuristic spandex fabric, and an oversized black coat brought sleek minimalism, paired with signature logo earrings that light up with LED lights for a high-tech edge. The final look—a red nylon crepe jacket—was designed using the brand’s signature 1:2 rectangular logo, proving that simple geometric shapes can be transformed into bold fashion statements.

Throughout the collection, the iconic black SARG bag was included in every look, reinforcing its modern, functional, and undeniably fashionable character. The runway boots were a collaboration with ADI, blending innovation with natural textures—patent leather for shine and real fur for the soles, creating an unexpected and striking contrast.

The show’s music and lighting were designed to feel futuristic, with red lights illuminating the final moments. The lookbook background, created using AI, gave the impression of models inside a science lab—a reflection of the experimental nature of MAYA WONG. Science, philosophy, nature, and humanity all inspire the creative process. The brand thrives on unexpected connections, just like in movies with unpredictable plot twists. That mindset is woven into the DNA of MAYA WONG.
